Plan Your Event


FIRST STEP

Reserve your function space. You will likely be asked to provide the following information: Name of group, date of event, time, approximate number of guests and type of event. A room must be reserved before initiating a catering request for an on-campus function.

SECOND STEP

All orders must be placed through the Catertrax Site. However, if you need to discuss event details, menu suggestions, etc. prior to placing your order, please contact our Catering Director, Carissa Renninger, for assistance. (carissa.renninger@compass-usa.com or 330-941-1979)

GUIDELINES FOR PLANNING YOUR EVENT

Orders for refreshment breaks should be placed a minimum of 3 business days prior to the event. Requests for meals and receptions should be placed a minimum of 7 business days prior to the event.

GUARANTEED GUEST COUNTS

A confirmed number of guests must be specified 72 hours prior to the event. This number is considered the guaranteed guest count. If the actual number of guests exceeds the guaranteed count, every effort will be made to accommodate the additional guests. However, if the number of guests decreases within 72 hours of the event, you will still be charged for the guaranteed count.

CANCELLATION

If notice of cancellation is received at least 48 hours in advance of the event, you will only be charged any expenses incurred. If notice is received less than 48 hours prior to the event, you will be charged the full amount.

SERVICE OUTSIDE KILCAWLEY STUDENT CENTER

A 10% service fee will be charged for all services provided outside of Kilcawley Center. If your order is less than $100, there will be an additional delivery charge of $10 added to the total cost of the event to help cover costs of services outside of the building.

ALCOHOL BEVERAGE SERVICE

The state, federal and local laws, as well as specific campus policy govern the service of alcoholic beverages. All alcoholic beverages must be supplied and served by YSU Catering. No alcoholic beverages may be brought on to the premises.

SAFE FOOD HANDLING

Safe food handling is a high priority for YSU Catering. For your safety, and that of your guests, a Catering representative will remove food from your event in a timely manner. Furthermore, no food prepared by YSU Catering may be taken out of the event location by the customer after a function. Under no circumstances will "to-go" boxes be provided to take food home post event, or will they be permitted to be filled if brought from the outside.
